Police further investigate fatal motorcycle collision that occurred on I-26 W near Coming Street
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - The Charleston Police Department is investigating the fatal motorcycle collision that occurred Monday afternoon on the ramp to I-26 West near Coming Street at the Septima P. Clark Parkway. The agency says the motorcyclist lost control, struck the barrier, and fell from the overpass onto a parking lot below. EMS personnel pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. The Charleston Coroner's Office will release the name of the victim when appropriate. The incident remains under investigation.
