Police: Driver dies after crashing into utility bucket truck on Dixie Highway
A driver is dead after a rear-end crash early Thursday morning in Louisville.The crash happened on Dixie Highway at Trent Avenue around 7:42 a.m.Police said a pickup truck rear-ended a United utility bucket truck. While the truck has an LG&E logo on it, it was not contracting with the company at the time of the crash.The driver of the pickup truck was taken to UofL Hospital, where he died of his injuries.His name has not yet been released.No one else was injured.The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
