Police chase ends with crash, 6 arrested in MS
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Six people were taken into custody following a police chase that ended with a crash at I-55 and Stateline in Southaven Thursday night. MPD said around 7:15 pm, officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the 3800 block of Rhodes Avenue. Officers arrived and located a vehicle that was taken in a robbery. MPD said they attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver refused to stop. Officers pursued the SUV into Mississippi, where it crashed. Police said all six occupants ran from the vehicle. They were all arrested and are being held in Mississippi. Video captured by WREG showed officers focused on a dark-colored Jeep missing at least one front tire. Traffic was still moving along Stateline near the crash.
