Police chase ends in serious crash in Adams County
HUNTERSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -- A police pursuit ended in a serious crash Friday afternoon in Adams County according to the Pennsylvania State Police. Troopers said the crash happened around 4 p.m. on Old Harrisburg Road in Straban Township. A trooper from the Gettysburg barracks attempted to pull over a pickup truck for a traffic violation on Zepp Road when the vehicle fled. The pursuit made its way from Zepp Road onto Shrivers Corner Road to Old Harrisburg Road. There, troopers attempted a "legal intervention" maneuver to end the pursuit. This led to a rollover crash in which the driver and passenger in the fleeing vehicle were seriously injured. Their names have not yet been released and the investigation is ongoing.
