Police: 75-year-old pilot injured after 'ultralight' aircraft crash in Western Pa.
A pilot was taken to the hospital after officials said an ultralight aircraft crashed into a tree in Fayette County Saturday morning. Pennsylvania State Police said an ultralight single-passenger aircraft crashed near Sampey Lane in Dunbar Township.Fayette County dispatchers said the aircraft crashed into a tree in the area around 11 a.m. Saturday.Police said the operator of the aircraft was a 75-year-old man from Connellsville. We're told the pilot was flown to UPMC Presbyterian with injuries. A photo shared by the Morrell Volunteer Fire Company showed the small aircraft stuck in multiple trees.
