Police: 1 dead, 2 juveniles seriously injured after head-on crash in Pendleton County
Kentucky State Police say that a woman is dead and two juveniles are seriously injured after a head-on crash occurred Friday night in Pendleton County.According to KSP, the crash happened after a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox being driven by Sandra Barker, 67, crossed the median at the 2600 block of U.S. Route 27 to the south of Falmouth.The SUV, which was traveling northbound, then collided with a 2018 Ram truck that was being driven by a 57-year-old man. Officers say that they first received a report about the crash at approximately 9 p.m.Barker was pronounced dead on scene by the Pendleton County Coroner's Office. Meanwhile, two juvenile passengers in the Ram truck were transported from the scene to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.Officers say that they were assisted at the scene by the Pendleton County Coroner's Office, Pendleton County EMS, the Pendleton County Fire Department, Northern Pendleton Fire & EMS, Southern Campbell EMS, the Air Evac Life Team, and University of Cincinnati Air Care.The crash remains under investigation by KSP.
