Plane carrying medical personnel from Mexico crashes in Galveston Bay; 6 fatalities reported

Tragically, a plane crash in Galveston Bay has resulted in the loss of at least five lives. According to reports from FOX 26, the incident occurred west of the Galveston Causeway. The plane was reportedly on a support mission for the Michou and Mau Foundation, aiding child burn patients. The Mexican Navy has confirmed that there were eight individuals on board, including four naval crew members and four civilians. Regrettably, the Mexican Consulate in Houston has informed FOX 26 that a total of six people have died, including all crew members, a patient, and a doctor, while one person is missing and presumed deceased. Thankfully, a companion of the patient and a nurse survived the crash. The Galveston County Sheriff's Office has reported that multiple agencies responded to the scene, with operations concluding around 7:45 p.m..
