PFW coach and alumni remember loss of former player and friend
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Madi Wurster, a recent graduate from Purdue Fort Wayne and a beloved member of the volleyball team. Madi tragically lost her life in a car accident early Monday morning. Madi, who also excelled in volleyball and basketball at South Adams High School, was described by her coach Steve Florio as a radiant and caring individual. Many alumni have shared memories of Madi's vibrant spirit and kindness, highlighting her as a source of light and compassion for those around her. Florio mentioned that Madi was a devout believer with a close-knit group of friends at Purdue Fort Wayne, known for her infectious laughter and love for life. Her untimely passing has deeply affected the Mastodon community, uniting them in celebrating Madi's life and the impact she had on everyone she encountered.
