Person ejected in fatal hit-and-run on 210 Freeway: CHP
A tragic incident occurred early Saturday morning on the 210 Freeway, resulting in the death of an individual who was ejected from their vehicle and subsequently run over. The crash occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on the eastbound lanes near Lowell Avenue in Glendale. According to a representative from the California Highway Patrol, a collision involving two vehicles took place, causing one vehicle to overturn and eject a passenger. The ejected individual was then struck by another vehicle that fled the scene. One person lost their life on the spot, while another was taken to a hospital. Details about the victims, such as their identities, ages, and vehicles involved, have not been disclosed. The cause of the initial crash is still under investigation. A SigAlert was issued, closing all lanes of the freeway for about three hours before the #1 lane was reopened at 4:34 a.m. By 6:50 a.m., all lanes had resumed regular traffic flow.
