Pedestrian struck, killed by Hyundai on HWY 41 in Fresno, CHP says
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a 2017 Hyundai Tucson on Highway 41 in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP said the crash happened on Wednesday around 1 a.m. on southbound Highway 41, south of Jensen Avenue. Investigators said an 83-year-old man was driving the Hyundai southbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the pedestrian entered the roadway. The driver was unable to brake or take evasive action before the crash, CHP said. The pedestrian died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
