Pedestrian dies after being struck by tractor-trailer on Route 12 in Keene, police say
A section of Route 12 in Keene was shut down Thursday night after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer. Just after 8:30 p.m., police responded to a crash involving a tractor-trailer carrying logs and a pedestrian. According to police, Greta Wold, 34, of Lisbon, was in the northbound travel lane of Route 12 when she was struck and killed. >> Download the free WMUR app to get updates on the go <<The highway was closed for about four hours between Maple Avenue and Wyman Road while police investigated. Police said they are still investigating why Wold was in the roadway.No charges have been filed at this time.The Keene Fire Department, New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted the Keene Police Department.Anyone with information is asked to contact Det.
