Overnight chase begins with fight in Lakewood, ends with rollover crash in Tacoma
A chase that began in Lakewood ended with a rollover crash in Tacoma Friday morning. The incident began with a fight between two men. The man who was losing the fight then got into his car and made threats to the other man, according to Lakewood Police Department (LPD) spokesperson Sgt. Charles Porche. When officers arrived and tried to speak with the man in the car, the driver sped off. Lakewood police followed, and the fleeing driver lost control of his car at the ramp to State Route 16 in Tacoma. Video from the KOMO 4 Drone showed the car upside down on a grassy median. Porche said the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the hospital to be evaluated.
