Ovando man killed in Highway 200 accident
A tragic incident occurred near Ovando on Saturday afternoon, where one individual lost their life and another was injured in a crash. It took place on Montana Highway 200 close to mile marker 52 around 12:30 p.m. The victim, a male from Ovando, lost control of his vehicle due to road conditions while heading east on Highway 200. This resulted in a collision with a pickup truck driven by an 18-year-old male from Oregon on the westbound lane. The victim passed away at the scene, and an 18-year-old female passenger in the pickup truck sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital in Helena. The authorities suspect speed may have played a role in the accident, which is currently under investigation.
