Oregon senior dies in multi-vehicle collision with semi-truck
A tragic accident on Hwy 97 in Deschutes County took the life of a 79-year-old man from Bend. Authorities reported that William Sargent was driving a Chrysler Pacifica southbound when he crossed into oncoming traffic, causing a collision involving four vehicles. The crash, which occurred just after 5:30 p.m. near milepost 127, claimed Sargent's life at the scene. The incident is currently being investigated by Oregon State Police.
