One person dead after pedestrian vs. vehicle accident near Cusseta Road
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Columbus police are investigating an overnight accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle that occurred near Cusseta Road and left one person dead. According to the Columbus Police Department (CPD), officers responded to the 2700 block of Cusseta Road Wednesday night. Authorities pronounced an individual deceased. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan later confirmed that the pedestrian, identified as 62-year-old Donald Marshall, suffered blunt force trauma and succumbed to his injuries. CPD's Motor Squad unit is leading the investigation.
