One person dead after crash in east Austin
One person was pronounced deceased after being transported following a crash in east Austin on Sunday. ATCEMS reported around 1 p.m. that medics were at the scene of a single vehicle crash on the northbound Bastrop Highway Service Road near Montopolis Drive. The Austin Police Department stated that the call came in at 12:42 p.m. ALSO | All lanes reopen after crash on I-35 in north Austin Sunday morning Medics initially reported that CPR was in progress on an adult patient at the scene. That person was taken to St. David's South Austin Hospital with critical injuries. That person was pronounced deceased shortly after. The Austin Police Department stated that Bastrop Highway Service Road northbound at Montopolis was shut down and that drivers should expect delays. The road was reopened just before 4 p.m.
