One Devil's Den entrance closed after hazmat crash | No leak
The eastern entrance to Devil's Den State Park from Highway 74 was closed Friday morning after a hazmat crash. The hazmat did not leak from the vehicle, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.This is the entrance that leads to the visitor center.The crash involves a commercial tractor-trailer vehicle carrying the hazmat material Sodium Methylate, according to ARDOT. It did not leak.ASP reports the crash is on State Highway 74, about half a mile east of State Highway 170, and nearly 9 miles north of Mountainburg.Sodium Methylate is used to produce biodiesel and is used in pharmaceutical and agrochemical synthesis.
