One dead, several hospitalized after Adams County crash
(WHTM) - One person has died, and several people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash closed an Adams County roadway on Saturday morning. Pennsylvania State Police say around 7:18 a.m., a Nissan Sentra was traveling south on Stoney Point Road in Reading Township, approaching the intersection of PA 234/East Berlin Road, when it failed to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle then struck a Ram 1500 and overturned, coming to rest in a nearby yard. State Police say a passenger in the Sentra was pronounced dead at the scene, and that the driver and another passenger were taken to WellSpan York Hospital. The Ram driver and passengers were also taken to the hospital for stable injuries. Pennsylvania State Police are leading the investigation and did not identify any of the individuals involved, other than noting the Ram driver is from West Virginia. Adams County Coroner Francis Dutrow says his office is not releasing any information at this time after responding to the scene. According to PA511, the roadway has reopened after being closed for several hours.
