One dead, one injured after two-vehicle crash on Chincoteague Road in Accomack County
ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) -- One driver is dead, and another was injured, after a two-vehicle crash on Chincoteague Road in Accomack County Friday evening, according to the Virginia State Police (VSP). On June 5 at around 10:17 p.m., a 2000 Ford Explorer that was traveling east in the westbound lane struck a 2014 Toyota Camry that was traveling westbound. The hit sent the Ford over the jersey wall and into the marsh. The Explorer's driver, identified as Tyler Crockett, 25, of New Church, died at the scene. The Camry's driver was left with minor injuries. This crash is now under investigation.
