One dead in Orangeburg County crash on US 601

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WJBF) - One person has died after a crash in Orangeburg County. South Carolina Highway Patrol tells us the accident occurred around 2:55 a.m. on US 601 at Family Circle. That's just 5 miles south of St. Matthews. Investigators say the victim was driving a Chevy Tahoe northbound on 601 when they left the roadway, causing a rollover accident. They were transported to an area hospital where they later died. Their identity has not been released. Count on NewsChannel 6 for updates as they happen.
