One dead following rollover accident in Jo Daviess County
One person is dead following a rollover accident in Jo Daviess County. According to a release from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and medical personnel responded to N. Elizabeth Scales Mound Rd. near County Rd. O on April 23 at 4:44 p.m. for a single-vehicle rollover accident. EMS personnel initiated advanced life-saving measures and continued treatment on scene on a victim. Deputies learned a vehicle had struck a garage, traveled down a hill and hit a utility pole, causing the vehicle to roll down an embankment and into a nearby pasture. Judith Winter, 81, of Scale Mound was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office.
