One dead after vehicle hits tow truck on McKinley Avenue in South Bend
One person is dead and another person is behind bars after a late night crash Saturday in South Bend. Police were called out to the area of McKinley and Manchester around 10:30 p.m. for the crash. Officials say a vehicle hit a parked, unoccupied tow truck in a parking lot. The passenger was seriously injured and ultimately died at the scene. The driver was sent to the hospital for evaluation of minor injuries and was later arrested. Officials have not released the names of the driver or passenger, or what charges the driver faces.
