One dead after driver, passenger thrown off motorcycle during crash in Pickaway County
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is dead, another is in critical condition after they were thrown off of a motorcycle after a crash in Pickaway County. The crash occurred Sunday afternoon at 2:51 p.m. when Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were alerted to the intersection of SR-159 and Kingston Adelphi Road in Kingston, which is located between Circleville and Chillicothe. At the intersection, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling westbound on Kingston Adelphi Rd. It did not come to a complete stop but rather rolled through the intersection at SR-159. At the same time, a 2023 CAN-AM Spyder was heading south on SR-159. The pickup truck struck the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle operator and passenger to be thrown onto the road. The passenger, Peggy Sims, was pronounced dead at Chillicothe’s Adena Hospital while the operator remains in critical condition. The OSHP did not release any additional information on the incident, which remains under investigation.
