One dead after crash on I-80 near state line
EAST LACKAWANNOCK Twp., PA (WKBN) -- A man is dead after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 westbound on Wednesday. It happened around 9:50 a.m. near mile marker 7 in East Lackawannock Township. Mercer County Coroner John Libonati confirmed a man died in the crash from blunt force trauma to the head and chest. The manner of death was ruled accidental. His identity has not yet been released. I-80 westbound was closed from Exit 15 in Mercer to Exit 4 for a large portion of the morning and early afternoon Wednesday. A release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation states the road reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
