One dead after crash launches car off HWY 99 embankment onto highway lanes
One person is dead after a major crash sent a car flying off a highway embankment on Friday afternoon in Fresno. The Fresno Police Department says initial investigations show the driver was travelling on Ventura Avenue towards Highway 99 when they crashed into at least two vehicles. The crash send the car launching off a highway embankment, causing it to land in the middle of Highway 99 and roll over several times. Multiple lanes of Highway 99 are shut down. The crash is still under investigation. We will update this story as more information is released.
