Olney man killed in motorcycle accident in Young County
YOUNG COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — An Olney man was involved in a fatal motorcycle wreck in Young County on Monday, May 25. According to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS), a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide motorcycle was traveling northwest on FM 210 in Young County at 4:10 p.m. at an unsafe speed as it entered a right curve. The investigation found that while the vehicle was in the curve, its speed carried the motorcycle to the other side of the roadway, where it drove off the roadway into the west-side ditch, lost control and crashed. The vehicle's rider was transported to Olney Hamilton Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased from the injuries sustained during the crash. TxDPS identified the rider as Kevin Ray Marsh, 53, from Olney. His next of kin were notified. TxDPS said Marsh was not wearing a helmet.
