Olathe woman dies in boating crash on Lake Perry

JEFFERSON COUNTY (KSNT) – Law enforcement reports one person is dead after two boats collided on Lake Perry last weekend. Jefferson County Sheriff Timothy Bacon said in a press release that deputies and Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) personnel responded to a reported injury crash at 6 p.m. on June 14 on Lake Perry. He said the crash involved two water vessels hitting each other. The sheriff's office reports that 22-year-old Hannah Heflin of Olathe died as a result of the crash. Law enforcement arrested a 20-year-old for vehicular homicide in connection to the incident. The KDWP is leading an investigation into the incident. For more crime news, click here.
