Off-duty NYPD cop hurt in deadly Taconic State Pkwy accident
A NYPD officer from New York City is in the hospital after a car crash on the Taconic State Parkway. The officer, identified as Tiffany Howell, was driving the wrong way and collided with another car. The other driver, Manuel Boitel, unfortunately passed away as a result of the crash. Howell, who was off-duty at the time, sustained injuries believed to be not life-threatening. The New York State Police are investigating the incident, with the New York State Attorney General's Office also notified.
