O’Fallon, Missouri teen killed in crash on St. Charles Rock Road
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A teenager from O'Fallon, Missouri, died Sunday morning following a single vehicle crash in St. John. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 7:20 a.m. on St. Charles Rock Road (Highway 180) just west of McKibbon Avenue. The highway patrol said the teen was traveling westbound in a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox when the vehicle struck a curb. The driver overcorrected and the Equinox went into the eastbound lanes of St. Charles Rock Road. The Equinox went off the roadway, struck a utility pole, went airborne, rotated, and came to a stop in the roadway. The 18-year-old driver was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m. at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. According to the crash report, the driver was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
