North Carolina woman pleads guilty in deadly DWI crash in Charlotte

A woman pleaded guilty in connection with a deadly crash on Interstate 77 in south Charlotte last year, court records show. Maria Leonard was arrested on multiple charges following a three-car crash on I-77 North near Tyvola Road on May 7, 2025. State troopers alleged that Leonard was drunk, triggering a crash that killed Graham Stuart Myers.
