Newstead man dead following Monday evening crash
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A 55-year-old man from Newstead is dead after he was hit by a car Monday evening, the Erie County Sheriff's office announced Tuesday. The man was struck in the area of 13399 Main Street in Newstead around 6:30 p.m. An ambulance transported him to ECMC where he later died during surgery. His name has not been released at this time. The driver of the striking vehicle is cooperating in the investigation. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact the Erie County Sheriff's office at (716) 858-2903.
