Newport Beach: One Pedestrian Killed, Another Injured In DUI Crash

The deadly collision was reported in the 2300 block of Newport Boulevard around 2:03 AM when witnesses say a white Corvette was speeding northbound and lost control. The Corvette struck two pedestrians including one who died at the scene. The second pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The driver of the Corvette, a male adult, was arrested after performing a series of field sobriety tests.
