NB I-75 at Immokalee Rd. now open following major accident
UPDATE at 6:45 p.m.: All lanes on I-75 have now reopened following a three-vehicle crash earlier. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that there were injuries, and individuals involved were taken to local hospitals, although their conditions are unknown. An update at 6:20 p.m. informed that one lane had reopened and two remained closed, causing a five-mile backup south to Pine Ridge Road. Those heading northbound in Collier County are urged to seek alternative routes. The original report at 5:50 p.m. outlined FHP's investigation into the crash. Cameras showed the incident near the Immokalee Road overpass, with traffic rerouted at exit 111. While cars were observed entering I-75 from Immokalee Road, a LifeFlight helicopter landed on the highway. Further details from FHP are pending.
