NASCAR driver Greg Biffle dies in North Carolina plane crash.

Gregory Jack Biffle, known as "The Biff," tragically passed away in a plane accident in Statesville, North Carolina, last Thursday, alongside his wife and children. The 55-year-old Biffle was a well-known semi-retired race car driver, born in Vancouver, Washington, on December 23, 1969, and raised in Camas. During his successful NASCAR career, he won the championships for the 2000 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the 2002 NASCAR Xfinity Series, securing 19 victories in 515 races. Recognized as one of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers, Biffle, along with his wife Cristina and two children, lost their lives when their private jet, a Cessna C550, crashed as it was attempting to land at Statesville Regional Airport around 10:20 a.m.
