Murfreesboro police investigating deadly weekend pedestrian crash
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Murfreesboro Police Department's Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating a deadly wreck involving a pedestrian. Police said the crash happened around 11:12 p.m. Saturday, May 9 near the intersection of Veterans Parkway and New Salem Highway. Joshua Dodson of Eagleville, 44, was reportedly struck by a car driven by a 21-year-old woman. Dodson was transported to an area hospital by staff with Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services; doctors pronounced him dead at the hospital, police added. The driver was not injured during the crash, per the MPD. No other information was immediately released; the FACT continues to investigate the crash.
