Multiple-vehicle crash near Irvington and Alvernon leads to road reopening.
UPDATE (11:01 a.m.): The Pima County Sheriff's Department has announced that the road has now reopened. Following a multi-vehicle collision near Alvernon Way and Irvington Rd., near I-10, multiple individuals have been hospitalized with severe injuries. The Pima County Sheriff's Department reported that four to six vehicles were involved in the crash. As a result, the Northbound lane of Alvernon Way and the I-10 Alvernon off-ramp are shut down, as well as Westbound traffic on Irvington Rd. Authorities are advising drivers to steer clear of the area as road closures are subject to change throughout the day.
