Multiple roads, including Route 1, closed after separate crashes in Scarborough
SCARBOROUGH, Maine (WGME) -- Officials say one person is dead after a crash on Route 1 in Scarborough. Police say Route 1, both northbound and southbound, from Pleasant Hill Road to the Maine Medical Center campus in Scarborough are closed due to a crash. Also read: Driver on phone hit 11-year-old riding bike in Portland, police say There is no word yet on any other injuries. It is unclear when Route 1 will reopen. There was also a crash on Pine Point Road and the road was closed for about an hour. It has since reopened. This story will be updated.
