Multiple fatalities after head-on crash on SR-36 near Dales, CHP says
Multiple fatalities and injuries have been confirmed following a head-on crash on State Route 36, east of Dales, on Friday afternoon. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said a Chevrolet van and a Ram pickup truck became involved in a head-on crash on SR-36E around 3:15 p.m. As a result of the crash, CHP confirmed multiple fatalities and said additional parties were injured. Although details about this crash are still being investigated, CHP said they do not believe drugs and/or alcohol were factors. State Route 36 remained closed for a couple of hours following the crash while crews investigated.
