Multiple crashes causing traffic delays on I-71 NB
ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) -- A crash during the morning commute is leading to traffic delays in Ashland County Monday. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the left two lanes of I-71 northbound are closed beyond US 30 due to a crash. The crash was reported around 8:20 a.m. Traffic cameras show a large backup in the area of the crash around the 9 a.m. hour. Details about the crash, including how many vehicles were involved and the cause, are not known at this time. Additionally, a separate crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. on I-71 in Brook Park Monday morning. According to ODOT, the 2 left lanes were blocked on I-71 North at Snow Rd. where a car was seen on its top. The crash scene has since been cleared, and traffic is moving through the area smoothly.
