Multiple cars, including a NYPD cruiser crash on the Bronx River Parkway
BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Multiple cars have crashed on the Bronx River Parkway, including an NYPD cruiser. The NYPD cruiser was heading northbound near exit 9 when it collided with a BMW SUV around 7:56 a.m., according to authorities. The BMW then swerved and hit two Hyundai vehicles on the parkway. A man and a young girl were transported to a local hospital, but their conditions were not immediately made known, police said. According to the FDNY, a total of six individuals were taken to local hospitals. All of the drivers remained on scene and there have been no arrests, officials reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
