Multi-vehicle crash with serious injuries shuts down I-95
Update 9:28 a.m.: The Pine Barren Road bridge over I-95 is now open. All southbound and northbound lanes on I-95 will remain closed until the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team conducts their preliminary investigation of the crash.Update 8:56 a.m.: The Pine Barren Road bridge over I-95 is closed due to a vehicle strike involving one of the bridge’s support pillars.DOT is inspecting that column before opening the bridge and all lanes of traffic.Agencies on scene include Savannah Police, Pooler Police, Georgia State Patrol, the Department of Public Safety, as well as Pooler and Savannah Fire.
