MTA bus crash injures 8 in the Bronx: authorities

In the Bronx, New York, several civilians were sent to a nearby hospital after a mishap involving an MTA bus on Monday afternoon, as reported by the NYPD. The event occurred at around 1:58 p.m. near 665 East 163rd Street, close to Cauldwell Avenue and Trinity Avenue. The police revealed that the bus, moving west on East 163rd and Cauldwell Avenue, skidded out of control when the driver activated the emergency brake. This caused the bus to collide with multiple cars, some of which were occupied. The bus operator and six others sustained minor injuries. A total of eight individuals were transported to Lincoln Medical Center for treatment. Officials suspect that a mechanical issue might have contributed to the accident.
