Motorcyclist seriously hurt in hit-and-run crash along I-670

Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash along Interstate 670 that seriously injured a motorcyclist early Sunday morning. Just after 2:30 a.m., a white sedan was headed westbound on I-670 toward the Neil Avenue exit when it collided with a dark vehicle headed in the same direction. The impact of the initial crash caused the white sedan to veer into the path of a motorcycle, throwing the rider from the bike. They were taken to the hospital with serious injuries but are in stable condition. The crash closed multiple lanes, including the exit, for several hours overnight while crews worked to clear the scene. Police say the dark vehicle fled the scene without checking on the others involved in the crash, and did not contact emergency services. The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run crash. Anyone with information about the suspect's vehicle or their whereabouts is asked to reach out to the accident investigation unit at 614-645-4767. Those wishing to remain anonymous can leave a tip with the Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477.
