Motorcyclist killed in head-on crash with car in Kosciusko County
WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) A Warsaw man died early Friday morning after a car crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the motorcycle was riding. The crash took place on State Road 15 south of Short Ridge Drive shortly after 5 a.m. according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department. Investigators determined that Randy Schmucker, 64, was riding his Indian motorcycle north when a Buick Regal heading south crossed the center line and hit him. Schmucker was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old driver of the car was not hurt in the crash. The news release did not indicate what caused the teen to veer into the oncoming lane of traffic. The crash remains under investigation.
