Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Geiger Grade prompting lengthy road closures in the area
A motorcyclist was killed Sunday night in a crash on Geiger Grade, prompting a lengthy closure of State Route 341 as investigators work the scene. According to Nevada State Police, the crash happened around 9:00 p.m. Sunday which involved an adult male who was the sole rider of the motorcycle. The crash happened near C Street. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. As the investigation continues, Highway 341 remains closed between B Street and D Street. Authorities expect the closure to last for several hours, with the road anticipated to reopen around 2 a.m. Monday. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and use B Street as a detour around the closure. Nevada State Police have not yet released the identity of the motorcyclist. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
