Motorcyclist killed in collision on Stone Mountain Highway
A motorcyclist was killed in a collision early Thursday on Stone Mountain Highway, Gwinnett Police say. Investigators said the crash happened when a driver attempting to turn right from Puckett Road onto westbound Stone Mountain Highway crossed all three lanes of traffic and collided with a motorcycle traveling westbound.The impact pushed the motorcycle into a raised concrete median, ejecting the rider from the bike.Authorities said the motorcyclist landed in the far-left eastbound lane and was then struck by another vehicle traveling eastbound.The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.Police have not yet released the identity of the motorcyclist, and the investigation remains ongoing.
