Motorcyclist killed after crashing into tree on North Raleigh Boulevard in Raleigh: Police
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A motorcyclist is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Raleigh Friday night, police said. According to the Raleigh Police Department, the crash happened on North Raleigh Boulevard near a Food Lion around 7 p.m. Police said the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed when they lost control and struck a tree. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the department. Early Saturday morning, Raleigh police identified the motorcyclist as 44-year-old William McHenry. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, the Raleigh Police Department said. The incident remains under investigation.
