Motorcyclist killed after crash in Frazier Park
A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Frazier Park Monday morning. According to the California Highway Patrol, Fort Tejon Area units responded to reports of a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle on Monday morning at 6:09 a.m. on Frazier Mountain Park Road, east of Mt. Pinos Way. CHP said a preliminary investigation found that a 65-year-old man was riding a motorcycle on westbound on Frazier Mountain Park Road. CHP said a 27-year-old man was also driving a Chevrolet SUV westbound on Frazier Mountain Park Road and was approaching the motorcyclist from behind. The SUV then crashed into the back of the motorcycle. The rider was ejected, hitting the SUV's windshield. The motorcyclist died from his injuries. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. CHP said impairment was not considered a factor for the 27-year-old SUV driver. It is still unknown if impairment was a factor for the motorcycle rider. Anyone with information is asked to call CHP Fort Tejon at (661) 248-6655.
