Motorcyclist identified in fatal crash with semi-truck in Centreville
The video above is DC News Now's initial coverage of the crash. CENTREVILLE, Va. (DC News Now) -- The motorcyclist who died in a crash with a semi-truck has been identified. Officers with the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 12800 block of Route 29 on May 19, just before 2 p.m. There, officers found a 2005 Ducati motorcycle and a 2016 Mack Semi Truck were involved in a crash. The motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Mikhail Perry of Fairfax, died at the scene. Preliminarily, FCPD said Perry was headed northbound on Route 29, and the truck was headed southbound. The truck was trying to make a U-turn when Perry hit it. As of now, FCPD said it believes that speed was a factor in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call 703-280-0543.
