Motorcyclist dead after collision with dump truck; police say case will be reviewed for charges

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 55-year-old Montana man is dead after a collision involving a motorcycle and a dump truck. Bullhead City police said Brian Timothy Bayer of Helena, Montana, was pronounced dead at the scene of a Wednesday morning crash at Bullhead Parkway and Silver Creek Road on the eastern edge of town. The crash was reported just before 10 a.m., according to information posted by police on social media. The dump truck driver told police he did not see the oncoming motorcycle. The dump truck was traveling northbound on Bullhead Parkway, attempting to turn left onto Silver Creek Road. Bayer was riding the motorcycle southbound on Bullhead Parkway. Witnesses told police the collision occurred while the traffic signal at the intersection was yellow. No other injuries were reported. Police said the case will be forwarded to the Bullhead City Prosecutor's Office for a review of possible charges. Bullhead City is about 100 miles south of Las Vegas.
